Aug 6, 2015 · My question is about the air intake heater system on my 2000 Freightliner FL70 that has a Cat 3126 engine. I have had the truck since March of this year. Initially the indicator light for warming the engine when cold stayed on for about 30 seconds as it. was supposed to and the engine started fine. I have a lengthy bit of info I want to include ... Thanks for the information. The 2 wire sensor is the intake air temp sensor. The 3 wire sensor is the Boost pressure sensor. Thr boost has nothing to do with the intake heater. The other sensor is the coolant temp sensor. It is located in the top of the block on the drivers side. It ia a 2 wire sensor as well.The voltage at this time may also read lower than normal until the heater goes out.
